DIRECTOR OF CASE MANAGEMENT Location: Rutherfordton, NC

About the Organization: Our client is a respected healthcare provider in Rutherfordton, North Carolina, operating a comprehensive acute care facility dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through the collaboration of medical staff and healthcare professionals.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Case Management to provide strategic oversight of the Case Management unit, including clinical resource management, discharge planning, and patient advocacy services. This senior leadership position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide strategic direction and management of case management services, including planning, organizing, and directing all departmental activities • Lead utilization review processes and ensure adherence to designated Geometric Length of Stay (GLOS) metrics • Collaborate with physicians, administration, and community healthcare providers to optimize care management outcomes • Drive performance improvement initiatives, particularly in length of stay reduction • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards • Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy • Oversee multi-disciplinary decision-making processes in patient care • Manage payer relationships and optimize revenue capture opportunities • Lead educational initiatives for staff and physicians regarding Case Management standards

Required Qualifications: • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) • Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license) • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification • Minimum 3 years RN experience in acute care and/or Care Coordination • Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements • Working knowledge of InterQual criteria and Joint Commission standards • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Excellence in stakeholder management and communication

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing or related field • ACMA Certification • Previous management experience (3+ years preferred)

Additional Requirements: • Must obtain CCM Certification within first year of employment • On-site presence required at Rutherfordton location • No visa sponsorship available
